Built for the way your firm practices.
Esqase runs intake, matters, and billing in one workspace, and shapes itself to the firm using it. These pages show what that looks like for your practice area, your job, and your size.
Practice management, by practice area.
Eleven practice areas, each with its own stages, documents, and deadlines. Each page shows how a firm in that area sets Esqase up, and what changes between them.
Practice management, by the job to do.
Ten jobs a firm buys this software to fix, from onboarding a client to collecting an invoice to leaving the system you run now. Each page follows one of them through.
Practice management, by firm size.
A solo practice and a firm with several teams want different things from the same system. These two pages cover what each one gets, and how it is set up.
FAQs
Choosing a page, deadline dates, what the product covers, and moving across.
Is Esqase different software for each practice area?
No. It is one system that you shape. Practice areas carry their own stages, matter types, and custom fields, and matter templates decide how a file opens, so a family law matter and a real estate closing behave differently on the same underlying product.
Which page should I start with?
Start with your practice area if you want to see how a file is set up, a use case if you have one specific problem to solve, such as getting paid faster or moving off your current system, and a segment page if you are weighing whether Esqase suits a firm your size.
Does Esqase calculate legal deadlines for my jurisdiction?
No. Esqase does not compute dates from any jurisdiction's rules of procedure, court rules, or filing regulations. You set the date, usually as a task due relative to the matter's open date, and Esqase tracks it and shows it on the firm calendar. A matter's statute of limitations date takes reminders of its own, sent ahead of the deadline.
What is included with the product?
Intake, matters, contacts, tasks, calendar, documents, eSignature, chat, communication logs, time tracking, invoicing, payments, trust accounting, and financial reports, in one workspace. The product pages cover each area, and the docs cover the mechanics.
Can we move our existing files across?
Yes. Contacts and matters import in bulk from a CSV export of whatever you use now, mapping the columns yourself, and you rebuild your practice areas as matter templates. Switching software covers the full path, including what a CSV cannot carry.
