Shorten the distance between the work and the payment.
Revenue sitting in an unbilled activity is not revenue yet. Esqase captures time and expenses as they happen, assembles the invoice from what is unbilled, and sends it with a payment link.
The bill is mostly written by the time you open it
Time and expenses recorded on the matter sit there unbilled, each at the rate its activity category sets. Pick a client and a matter, and they arrive as editable invoice lines.
Run a whole billing cycle at once. Batch invoicing gathers every matter with unbilled work onto one screen and generates them together.

Pull unbilled activities into a bill within minutes.
Activity categories and rates
Bill each kind of work at the rate that it earns.
Review it, send it, and make paying easy
A review step catches a mistake before the client sees it. A payment link then lets them pay through their own bank or payment app, and the billing overview shows what is still outstanding.

How does Esqase shorten the time between work and payment?
By keeping time and expenses attached to the matter as they happen, so an invoice is built from recorded activities rather than a memory of the month. You choose what to include, send it with a payment link, and the client can pay the moment it lands.
Can I bill several matters in one sitting?
Yes, with batch invoicing. It gathers every matter that has unbilled billable work onto one screen, lets you review and choose what to bill, and generates all the invoices in a single step. For a retainer that bills on the same schedule every month, set up a recurring invoice instead.
How does a client actually pay?
From a payment link on the invoice, available once the invoice is pending, partly paid, or paid, or once it clears approval where your firm requires a review first. The client confirms their email to open it and picks one of the methods you turned on. By card or from a bank account, through your firm's LawPay or Confido Legal account, the payment is recorded on its own. By bank transfer or QR code, the client pays through their own bank or app and marks the payment as sent, and Esqase records it as pending until someone at your firm marks it cleared.
What if a client pays by cheque or bank transfer instead?
Record it yourself against the invoice while it is pending or partly paid, and the balance updates to reflect it. It posts to your deposit account the same as a payment a client reported on a link. Where your firm issues official receipts, a receipt number is stamped the moment the payment clears.
Is there trust or IOLTA accounting?
Yes. Client funds sit in a trust or IOLTA account, kept separate from your operating account, with a running balance and a full ledger of every deposit, withdrawal, and payment behind it.
Can an invoice be reviewed before it goes out?
If your firm turns on approvals. You set which roles need a review, who can approve, and how many approvals a bill needs, and an invoice that requires one moves into review with your default reviewers added automatically.
